The Department of English celebrated English Language Day on 23rd April 2026. The celebration included a Poetry Writing Competition & a Shakespeare Quiz Competition designed to foster deeper appreciation of the language. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students of the department. The day being the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare, the department paid tribute to the Bard of Avon through the Shakespeare Quiz Competition. 5 teams comprising 3 members each, participated in the Shakespeare Quiz which proved to be a nail-biting, engaging and informative event. The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where winners and participants were awarded trophies and certificates.
