The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the IQAC, successfully organised a one-day academic workshop on “Understanding Economics” on 30th January 2026. The workshop aimed at strengthening students’ conceptual understanding through practical demonstration and peer learning.
Inaugurated by the Chairman, Shri Mahabir Prasad Shroff and the Teacher-in-Charge, Prof. Sovonita Datta, the workshop was conducted by the Morning-in-Charge and senior faculty member, Prof. Dr. Nibir Goswami. Fifteen students enthusiastically participated in the workshop. The participants demonstrated key theoretical concepts through handwritten charts. After careful evaluation, the jury declared Pallabi Bhattacharjee, Priyangshu Singha, and Shagun Jaiswal as the first, second and third position holders, respectively. All participants were awarded certificates and medals in recognition of their efforts.
