Celebration of International Mother Language Day by Day Shift students
International Mother Language Day was observed by the Department of Arts on 21st February focusing on this year’s theme : “Youth voices on multilingual education”. To commemorate the day, a cultural programme was organised that witnessed enthusiastic participation of both students and staff members. A lamp lighting ceremony was followed by song, dance, recitation and speeches delivered by the students. The event also included a display of posters made by the students, promoting awareness regarding the importance of multilingualism in creating an inclusive and multicultural society. The programme concluded with a choral rendition of the famous Bengali song by Dwijendralal Ray “Dhono dhanyo pushpo bhora”.
