|The Department of History in collaboration with the IQAC organised an international seminar on Partition of 1947 : Rethinking Decolonization and Nation Making in South Asia on 3rd January 2025.
Prof. Dr. Sohini Majumdar, Department of History, University of San Francisco acted as the resource person.
The seminar comprised 2 sessions. In the first session, the resource person Prof. Dr. Sohini Majumdar delivered a lecture on Partition of 1947 : Rethinking Decolonization and Nation Making in South Asia. This was followed by an interactive session. The second session comprised a students’ seminar on Reliving the Partition Memories . At the end of the paper presentations, the resource person provided her valuable comments on the papers. Thereafter, certificates were awarded to the participants of the students’ seminar. The first ever international seminar of the institution proved to be immensely successful.
